Happy Mothers's Day 2012

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there. What a day to acknowledge us mums.
We had a quite one as usual here in our household because my parents aren't here in Australia with me & Paul's mum pass away when he was a young lad.
I was spoilt by both my kids. Very privilege  I am. There are so much LOVE around.

But the "Best" bit of all. Something very unusual for a Mother's Day present. But I do things out of the ordinary at times. I have never been on ONE.
A Trampoline. Yeah.....

They even have a play mate.

Helping Daddy building it
Kids on it
They even have a Tent for a cubby house.

No matter how you spend your day. ENJOY it. My thoughts are to those who lost their mum.

Icy Poles.

I am so thinking of Summer now due to the cold wet days we are having. Summer also bring along hot days, but to cool off, make some icy poles. I found this on Ikea for $2.99. Wow! I know what my kids will be having this summer.

The sewing machine has not been out for awhile, so, I got it going on the weekend & whip this up in an afternoon. I am so please with it & myself for the patience to make it.

Maths

I not so sure how I bumped into this website (Maths) BUT its quite good. You can print worksheets out for the kids to work at home. It even comes with answers sheets if one is too lazy to calculate. I find it really helpful for my kids

Emotion...

We were told (which we knew already) that my oldest child is quite emotional & need to toughen up by his teacher. Nick has been emotional since DAY 1. Its his personality. Thats who he is, emotional, caring, loving boy. YES, he is different to others as he does not enjoy Footy & hates playing rough. He loves his CARs & LEGOs. Thats my boy. .. Guess what, I am like that too. My eyes gets watery at a drop off a hat when something is not right. How can one change ones personality?? I need to toughen up.

Kids room.

I am in search for ideas on what to do with my kids room. I would like more storage & a desk in their room. As their rooms are tiny compare to other I know, I am searching online to see what ideas are there out there. Lots of girls rooms and very little on boys. But I thought I share what I found online. I love them all.

Stain Remover.

Recently, Mia got chocolate stains on her new white t-shirt. As we all know Chocolate is hard to removed. BUT after searching on the web, I found somewhere that says, use dishwashing detergent. I know dishwashing detergent get rids of cooking oil stain marks BUT have never try on Chocolate before. So I dab some on the chocolate stains. Throw it in the wash & WALLAH. To my astonishment, the stain is no where to be seen, not even a shade of stains. Its like a whole brand new t-shirt. So now, instead of buying expensive stain remover, I will just head to my kitchen sink & use dishwashing detergent. I even try it on some mustard stains yesterday. Mia cloths can now be saved.

"OOUCH!" - He said.

On our home from swimming, Nick was listening to the radio. I had it down pretty low, very faintly. BUT he still manage to hear what's going on. They were talking about childbirth & had a recording of a lady giving birth. She was screaming in pain as one do.
Just as we were getting out of the car, he said, "Mum. The lady is giving birth." I said, "That's right". He said, "Well, it must really hurt." I said, "It does. Just imagine, you fall down & it hurts BUT 100x worst with childbirth". Then he said, "OOUCH! Luckily I am a BOY".

Bless him.
