Birds of a Feather, Flocks Together.

Mia needed a Blue Bird Costume for a micro mini play at school. Thanks heaps to the internet, I found a easy peasy bird wings. I found it here llevoelinvierno.If I can do it, so can anyone. The sewing machine has not been out for awhile, so, I got it going on the weekend & whip this up in an afternoon. I am so please with it & myself for the patience to make it.

Growing Up

While we were waiting for Nick yesterday to finish his lesson at Tennis. Mia wanted to have a hit on the wall, so we did. We went over to the other side as one side was taken up by a boy, who is about 8 years old(Nick's age). While we were "practicing", our ball keep going the other side. Thats fine. Mia would go around to collect it & she will also pick his up when it comes around to our side & hand it to him. I notice she keep stopping our game to watch him. To cut things short, I suggested that we finish up & go & get Nick. The boy finished up at the same time & hopped in his mom's car. Mia & I had a conversation;
Mia: Mom, I think I am in LOVE.
Me: Pardon.
Mia: I am in Love with that boy. He is so Handsome.
Me: Gobsmacked, Speechless.
She is 5, where did she hear those words to repeat it "I think I am in LOVE". I am laughing BUT allot of ???s are in my head. Gosh!! she is growing up so quickly. Slow down Mia.
